Hobson now supports Snappy Ubuntu Core & BeagleBone Black

Canonical recently announced its Snappy Ubuntu Core OS for smart devices and the Internet of Things (IoT). Their intent is to create an operating system that is small, secure and easy to upgrade. While it's still in alpha, it already looks extremely promising.

I'm happy to announce that an early-release version of Hobson is now available through the official Ubuntu Snappy store. This make it easy to install and run Hobson on Ubuntu Core Snappy's first supported hardware platform -- the BeagleBone Black.

Canonical's announcement is an exciting one and Hobson's support for the BeagleBone Black means that a very low-power, dedicated Hobson Hub can be had for around $50.

See the Hobson & BeagleBone Black wiki page for more information.
